Room Recess–Free Learning Games for Kids

At RoomRecess, you’ll find over 150 free learning games for kids. “RoomRecess.com was developed entirely by an elementary school teacher with the goal of reinforcing fundamental learning concepts in math, reading, spelling, language arts, typing, and problem-solving. Because learning games are free, students do not have to sign up or hold an account. Children can simply load up an activity and have fun learning online while they play!”

Students can select a grade level and then choose a from a variety of math, reading, and word games. There are also puzzles, learning tools, and even fiction and non-fiction story selections. Have fun exploring!

Our Reading Road Trip

Buckle your seat belts, we’re off on a trip across the United States of America, reading our way from coast to coast!

This year in Library, students in the Lower School will learn about the wonderful country in which we live and will read books from the seven different regions of the United States. Beginning in October, we were off to explore the Northeast, focusing on New England, and then in November, it will be on to the Mid Atlantic States. We’ll make our way around the country, learning lots of fun facts and reading some great books along the way.

Keep up with our travels with our Google Slides presentation for this project. You’ll find lots of interesting facts about the 50 states and Washington D.C.
