Tomie dePaola is a famous author and illustrator.  He has written over 200 books for children. Tomie wanted to be an author and illustrator since he was 4 years old. Many of the stories he writes are memories from his childhood. He writes about his experiences as a young boy as well as about his family.

 

Children in Nursery though Second Grade will read several of Tomie dePaola’s books in the next few weeks. In addition to listening to stories, children will see an age appropriate PowerPoint presentation about Tomie’s road to becoming an author. We will see one of the author’s books come to life on DVD and watch a web based interview with Tomie de Paola.
